Founder

Founded by Karen Michell Othaya Kumar, Baseline is built to provide professional hormone testing, guidance, and support tailored to women’s health.

The startup journey

It all started with a simple observation: many women in Malaysia were experiencing changes in their bodies, from irregular cycles and unexplained fatigue to mood swings, yet getting clear, accessible hormone insights was difficult.

Clinics were often far, appointments time-consuming, and lab reports confusing. Driven by a desire to make hormone health understandable and convenient, Baseline was created. With professional expertise as a registered medical assistant and years of clinical and research experience, the goal was clear: bring women closer to their bodies through accessible testing, clear digital reports, and personalised guidance.
